Mobil Vactra™ Oil Numbered Series are high-quality slideway lubricants specifically designed to meet the precision, coolant separation, and equipment protection requirements of precision machine tools.

Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series is formulated with high-quality base oils and an advanced additive system that provides controlled friction characteristics. It is compatible with water-miscible metalworking fluids and provides effective corrosion protection on machine surfaces. Its unique additive system reduces stick-slip motion and delivers excellent friction control on steel-on-steel and steel-on-polymer contact surfaces. This ensures smooth and consistent movement at design operating speeds, improving machine efficiency and surface finish quality.

Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series is optimized to minimize the corrosive effects of high-pH coolants on lubricated surfaces and to provide excellent separation from most water-based cutting fluids.

Applications

Mobil Vactra Oil Numbered Series is recommended for machine tool slideway lubrication. It is compatible with cast iron, steel, and non-metallic slideway materials. It can be applied manually, through centralized lubrication systems, or via circulation systems.

• Suitable for applications requiring Fives Cincinnati specifications P53, P47, and P50.
• No. 1 and No. 2 grades are recommended for horizontal slideways on small and medium-sized machine tools. They are also suitable for circulation systems and light hydraulic applications.
• No. 3 and No. 4 grades are recommended for large machines requiring high load capacity and precision. They are also suitable for vertical and inclined slideways and medium-duty gear systems.
• Can be used for lubrication of ball screws, linear guides, spindles, and feed screws.
• Recommended for applications where oil contamination in water-based coolants shortens coolant life.
