Castrol Alpha CLP 220 is a high-quality industrial gear oil in ISO VG 220 viscosity grade, developed for heavy-duty industrial gearboxes and bearing systems. It meets DIN 51517-3 CLP gear oil requirements and delivers strong surface protection, long oil life, and stable performance under high loads thanks to its advanced EP (Extreme Pressure) additive package.

Formulated with mineral base oils and a balanced sulfur–phosphorus anti-wear additive system, Castrol Alpha CLP 220 forms a strong and durable oil film on gear surfaces under heavy loads and shock conditions, reducing metal-to-metal contact.

Its high thermal and oxidation stability helps maintain viscosity over long periods and limits sludge and varnish formation, contributing to extended oil change intervals.

Castrol Alpha CLP 220 also provides strong performance in water separation (demulsibility), rust protection, and foam control.
